New Composite Snow Chains from Michelin

Michelin North America has launched the new Michelin Easy Grip line of composite snow chains.

The company said the new generation of composite, mesh-style snow chain “provides the ultimate performance on snow covered roads and is very easy to use.”

The snow chains take only minutes to install and seconds to remove, MNA said, and “provide a smoother, quieter ride and will not damage road surfaces” compared to traditional metal tire chains.

The Easy Grip snow chains also feature a reflective Night Vision Security System, which MNA said improves the visibility of the vehicle in dark and snowy conditions.

Each pair of Michelin snow chains comes packaged in a reusable storage case, and are available in various sizes to accommodate the majority of passenger vehicles.

U.S. Rep. John Joyce (R-PA) has introduced a bill (H.R. 1435) to protect Americans’ right to choose the technology that powers their motor vehicles.

The “Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act” was introduced in response to California’s plans to ban the sale of new gas- and diesel-powered cars and trucks in 2035 unless certain conditions are met, Joyce's office says. If approved, H.R 1435 would prevent the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from allowing California’s Zero Emissions Vehicle regulations that would ban the sale or use of new motor vehicles with internal combustion engines from taking effect.
