In the eight years since Mid-Atlantic Tire Pros of Easton, Md., has supported the Talbot Soccer Association in Easton, the tire business has given out more than 2,000 soccer balls to youth and donated almost $3,000 to the association’s scholarship, according to the Star Democrat.
Mid-Atlantic Tire Pros’ soccer program was originally coordinated through Michelin. Owner Terry John told the Star Democrat that he ran the program because the business is committed to the health and wellness of the children in the community. Today, the tire business continues to support the Talbot Soccer Association – which had more than 45 soccer teams in 2014 – independently.
“The kids really enjoy getting new soccer balls,” John, told The Star Democrat.
