Michelin to #KeepThanksMoving This Holiday Season

Michelin_thankyousignIn celebration of the holiday season’s unsung heroes, commercial drivers, Michelin North America is launching the #KeepThanksMoving social media campaign to thank those who spend countless hours on the road.

“As you bustle from store to store and gather with family and friends, please take a minute this holiday season to think about the many people who help move the jolly, jingle and scrumptious morsels that help make your family’s holiday memories across the miles and keep the roads and highways safe,” said Ralph Dimenna, COO for Michelin North America’s truck tires unit. “These are the ones who ‘keep thanks moving’ under all kinds of weather and driving conditions. Let’s show them how grateful we are for all they do.”

Participants can share their appreciation for drivers working in jobs from farming, emergency response and public transit to shipping, package delivery and trucking, by posting comments to Twitter and Facebook. Those posting their comments on Twitter should use the hashtag #KeepThanksMoving and include @MichelinTruck, @MichelinTweel, or @MichelinAG, while participants posting on Facebook should include MichelinTruck, MichelinTweel1 or MichelinUSA.

Every week from Nov. 16 to Dec. 31, Michelin will recognize “the most compelling posts in each category for individuals who demonstrate outstanding community involvement”, the tiremaker said. Seven individuals will be chosen to receive a Michelin-branded 12-Volt Cooler/Warmer by Koolatron and a certificate for a pair of Justin Work Boots, courtesy of Red Eye Radio.

Participants can also download a thank you card from Michelinmedia.com to give to drivers in their community.
