Meineke Upping Tire Game with Online Sales

After joining the tire business in 2014, Meineke Car Care Centers is focusing on tires more than ever with the introduction of its new online tire buying service, TireWire.

After joining the tire business in 2014, Meineke Car Care Centers is focusing on tires more than ever with the introduction of its new online tire buying service, TireWire.

Piloting at select Meineke franchisees starting Feb. 14, TireWire allows customers to go to a webpage where they can search and order tires based on make, model and VIN – plus tires based on good, better and best performance. Tires ordered from TireWire are then shipped to the Meineke store where the tires will then be installed.

“We are very committed to getting into the tire business in a much more significant way then we have historically,” said Danny Rivera, president of Meineke Car Care Centers. “One of the ways that we are doing that, to make it easier for customers and also our franchise partners, is we’ve introduced TireWire.”

In addition to its online tire sales, Meineke is integrating more technology into its automotive service business with the integration of its Meineke Rewards program with the Meineke App, tablet-based E Inspections and Revvy.

E Inspections provide customer a courtesy inspection that creates digital inspection results that can be emailed and viewed on a tablet.

“Revvy is Meineke’s introduction to the connected car space,” Rivera adds. “It’s really all about empowering consumers to understand their car better and frankly enjoy their cars more. So I could probably most simply describe it as FitBit for your car and then there is this whole fun side of it where you can unlock WiFi in your car, you can stream video.”

Meineke has more than 930 centers across the nation, servicing around three million vehicles a year.
