Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.’s Discoverer A/T3 light truck tire received Overland Journal’s “Editor’s Choice and Value Award” in its September 2014 issue.
“We are gratified that Overland Journal recognized the innovative features, performance and value of the A/T3 to give it the Editor’s Choice and Value Award,” said Scott Jamieson, Cooper’s director of product management. “Since its debut, this tire has become one of Cooper’s most sought-after light truck tires. The success of the Discoverer A/T, coupled with this accolade, is evidence of our focus on crafting quality tires that perform and meet the real-life performance needs of consumers.”
The publication, for worldwide vehicle-supported expedition and adventure travel, tested the Discoverer A/T3 against seven other all-terrain tires. The tires went through 10 different evaluation exercise performed by Joe Bacal, a professional driver of off-highway vehicles.
Overland Journal found that the A/T 3 “demonstrated superior ride quality, NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) and skid pad handling,” it said.
Complete test results will be featured in the upcoming Summer 2014 issue of Overland Journal.
