Sheri Somerville, the company’s communications director, said production at the Waterville factory has been reduced by four shifts a week, but workers are still in the plant cleaning and performing maintenance.
Last month, the company temporarily laid off 25 contract production employees. Somerville said more contract workers have been sidelined since then, but she did not have specific numbers.
