The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association elected Tim Lee of Lang Distributing, as chairman of its 2012-13 board of directors.
In addition, AAIA members also elected a new board during its Leadership Days event, held May 4 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Lee will replace current chairman Bob Egan of Federal-Mogul on July 1. Lee joined Lang Distributing in Kankakee, Ill., in 1975 and after serving as marketing manager, sales manager and general manager, he bought the company in 1985.
AAIA officers for the 2012-13 term include Lee as chairman; Vice Chairman Richard Jago of Old World Industries; Treasurer Michael Klein of IDQ Holding; Secretary David Scheer of Inland Truck Parts Co; Vice President Cal Wilkins of TASCO; Vice President Ira Davis of Multi Parts Supply; Vice President Lisa Kranc of AutoZone; Vice President John Washbish of Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance; and Past Chairman Egan of Federal-Mogul Corp.
Nine new individuals were elected to the AAIA board: Thomas Beer, TKB Consultants; Michael Broderick, Carquest Corp.; Jim Dykstra, Dykstra Auto Service; Roger McCollum, N.A. Williams Co.; John Quirk, VIP Inc.; Sherri Rains, Blue Magic; David Segal, Automotive Supply Associates; Michael Swearengin, O’Reilly Auto Parts; and Randal Ward, Automotive Aftermarket Association Southeast.
Continuing board members are: Mike Carlet, Driven Brands; Curtis Draper, UCI-Fram Group; Mike Fitzgerald, Standard Motor Products; Todd Hack, Gates Corp.; Patricia Law, ANSA Automotive Parts Distributors; Scott LeProhon, Genuine Parts/NAPA; William Maggs, National Pronto Association; Gary Perman, RPS Marketing; Tom Perry, U.S. Chemical and Plastics; F. Scott Pletz, Marketing and Promotion; Timothy Trudnowski, Automotive Jobbers Supply; and Scott Webb, Pep Boys.
