JK Tyre reported the company would double its capacity at its greenfield plant in Chennai, India, by the end of this year.
P Pawan Darshan, general manager of sales in North and East India, said the company is working on expanding the Chennai plant and it is likely to start production from November to December. He said the expansion is being carried at an investment of Rs 1,500 cr.
JK Tyre has recorded an overall turnover of Rs 10,000 cr in the fiscal 2013 to 2014 year and, according to company statements, is aiming to achieve Rs 12,000 cr in the current financial year.
