Iraq Vet Wins Mustang in Toyo Contest

(Akron/Tire Review) U.S. Army Specialist Marshall Wright of 4th Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division in Fort Bliss, Texas, was the grand prize-winner in Toyo Tire USA Corp’s “Catch Our Drift” sweepstakes.

And, he celebrated his 23rd birthday in a big way, receiving the keys to a 2006 Mustang GT, the top prize in the consumer contest, which ran from June 1 to Dec. 31. The El Paso, Texas, resident served a 14-month stint in Iraq, returning stateside last July.

“Since arriving from Iraq great things have been happening to me. I recently moved into a new house, will be promoted to sergeant on April 1st, celebrated my 23rd birthday yesterday, and then got the keys to this car today so I can drive it home over the weekend,” Wright said.

“You couldn’t have written a better script for today’s giveaway,” said Travis Roffler, Toyo’s senior director of marketing. “We are especially pleased that our car was won by an individual who has selflessly devoted service to this country.”
