Hybrid Shop to Host Training Event Before SEMA

The Hybrid Shop LogoThe Hybrid Shop (THS) will host a complimentary training event for shop owners before the SEMA Show 2014 in Las Vegas. The Hybrid Training Day, which takes place on Nov. 3, is in partnership with Ted Wiens Tire and Auto Centers.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Ted Wiens Auto Service in Las Vegas. Attendance is invitation-only, with no obligation. Lunch is provided and registration is required.

Attendees will receive insights and information around hybrid electric vehicle auto service offerings, and the opportunities they present for continued business growth. Key topics of discussion will include:

  • Increasing car count
  • Diagnosing, servicing, maintaining and repairing hybrid vehicle systems, including THS’ proprietary hybrid electric vehicle battery conditioning
  • Education and training of hybrid electric vehicle systems and components, led by Mark Quarto, chief technical officer of automotive research and design
  • The hybrid electric vehicle market and service offerings

Cosmo Tires, distributed by Tire Group International, has introduced changes to its mileage warranty and road-hazard programs which will now feature a mileage warranty of 40,000-70,000 miles for all passenger and light truck tires offered.

“Our products are over-built and tested on the most rigorous tracks and terrains around the globe and this reflects our investments in manufacturing and quality. Now, all passenger and light truck tires carry Cosmo’s road hazard and mileage warranty ranging from 40,000-70,000 miles," said Dominick Montouri, chief strategy officer of Tire Group International, said.
