Hunter Engineering said its TCX leverless tire changer combines traditional design elements (tabletop clamp, side shovel tire changer) with advanced capabilities to service everything from simple steel wheels to low-profile tires on large-diameter alloys. A powerful 110V220V motor and unique two-speed drive operate at a low speed with increased torque to prevent damage to wheels and tire beads when servicing tough combinations. The automatic swing-arm saves space over tilt-column designs. Hunter said with the push of a button, the swing arm locks to preset wheel diameter and width positions to speed service of same-size wheels. Additionally, a twin-cylinder tabletop clamping system handles 12- to 30-inch wheels and adjusts to two work positions, Hunter said.
