Hankook Pledges $3 Million to Race Contingency Awards

(Akron/Tire Review) Hankook Tire America Corp. has posted a record $3 million in motorsports contingency program for the 2006 season.

The expanded program will see higher contingency awards in numerous motorsports events, including SCCA regional and national events, SCCA ProSolo, NASA, United States Rally Championship, BMW Car Club of America, Porsche Club of America, Porsche Owners Club, the newly created United States Endurance Racing Association, and many more.

“Motorsports is increasingly important to Hankook as we continue to build our brand image within the racing community and with consumers,” said Bill Bainbridge, Hankook’s marketing director. “Our $3 million contingency is one of the largest and best in grassroots racing, and should help get drivers closer to experiencing Hankook high performance quality on race tracks nationwide.”
