General Altimax RT Tops Tire Rack Test

Continental Tire North America’s General Altimax RT finished best among four “standard touring all-season” tires tested by Tire Rack.

Tire Rack tested the four tires at its facility in South Bend, Ind., and published the results on its Web site www.tirerack.com.

“We are very pleased that the General flagship Altimax RT performed so well in this test,” said Andreas Gerstenberger, CTNA’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “The Altimax is a key component in our rededication to the General Tire brand, and since its launch this past spring, the tire has continually delivered a smooth, comfortable ride and long tread life.”

Tire Rack tested the all-season touring tires on a 2006 BMW E90 325i sedan, with full tread depth 205/55R16 tires. (Tire Review)

Ascenso now accepting submissions for Farm Service Truck Technician Program

Eligible nominees are agriculture, construction and industrial tire technicians with at least five years of service in the US.

Ascenso Tires North America is taking submissions for agriculture and construction service truck technicians through Sept. 31 for the Ascenso Farm Service Truck Technician Program. According to Ascenso, eligible nominees are agriculture, construction and industrial tire technicians with at least five years of service who currently work in the United States.
