Federal-Mogul has released a free mobile app designed to help automotive service providers with operational efficiency, sales and customer satisfaction- the “SmartChoice Mobile” app.
Using a smartphone, the app allows owners, service writers and techs access to the latest parts information for a vehicle and then shares detailed inspection findings directly to the customer.
“SmartChoice Mobile is much more than a parts lookup tool – it helps speed the entire repair process by providing extensive parts and repair information and establishing a real-time connection with the vehicle owner,” said Brian Tarnacki, director, global market strategy, Federal-Mogul. “This free solution sets the bar for all automotive service apps and positions the shop as a technology leader committed to customer service excellence.”
App features include a VIN scanning tool that allows the user to capture vehicle information and access corresponding part and repair information. Additionally a “Send Inspection Results” allows the user to send a vehicle’s owner inspections results, as well as repair estimates and pictures and “Chat with a Pro” connects a tech directly to an ASE-certified technical specialist.
