Matt Curry, The Hybrid Shop founder and a former tire dealership owner, is teaming up with CelebrityPress to release his new book The A.D.D. Entrepreneur: How to Harness Your Superpowers to Create a Kickass Company.
In the book, Curry talks about being a successful entrepreneur with attention deficit disorder and explores the myths and truths of his A.D.D. experience. Curry believes that, for him, A.D.D. is not a negative, rather something to be embraced.
“I’ve channeled my A.D.D. onto a positive track and used it to build businesses that have not only made a lot of money but have also made a lot of money for other people and made their lives better,” Curry said. “And that’s what this book is all about: how my off-the-wall A.D.D. tendencies inspired me to create and execute a set of proven principles for growing a successful business.”
Under the publishing deal, the hardcover book was released April 30.
Curry has worked in the automotive aftermarket business for over 30 years. In 1997, Matt and his wife, Judy Curry, started Curry’s Auto Service with one shop in Chantilly, Va. Under their leadership, Curry’s Auto Service expanded to nine shops across Northern Virginia and one in Maryland. In 2009, the tire dealership was named a Tire Review Top Shop finalist. The Currys sold their automotive repair business in 2013. In early 2013, Matt founded The Hybrid Shop, a turnkey solution for servicing hybrid vehicles.
