CTNA OTR Plant Faces Citations

(Akron/Tire Review) Continental Tire North America’s OTR tire plant in Bryan, Ohio, reportedly faces federal action for alleged clean air violations.

News reports say that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is alleging that CTNA modified the plant, resulting in increased naphtha emissions, without applying for a state permit that would require emission controls. Naphtha can contribute to ground-level ozone or smog.

CTNA, according to the reports, faces a compliance order, a fine or a federal lawsuit from the EPA.
