The Hybrid Shop has hired Dave Crawford to serve as its new CEO. Crawford, the former vice president of now defunct American Car Care Centers, was most recently vice president operations for American Tire Distributors’ Tire Pros program.

Based in Gainesville, Va., The Hybrid Shop was founded by former tire dealer Matt Curry, who is now the company’s chief visionary officer. Curry sold his 10-location Curry’s Auto Service Inc. business to Monro Muffler Brake in mid-2013 and opened THS later last year.

Crawford was long associated with ACCC, but left the marketing group in 2007 to become vice president of Mail America. But in 2008, he became vice president of Am-Pac Distributor’s Tire Pros dealer program. Am-Pac was bought out by American Tire Distributors in late 2008, and Crawford continued revising and building the Tire Pros program.
