Conti chief Manfred Wennemer said he expects the company’s 2007 ratio of profits-to-sales to tighten as the company works to integrate acquired businesses, such as Motorola Inc.’s vehicle electronics unit, which Continental acquired for some $1 billion last year.
Still, Wennemer expects Continental’s sales and profits to increase in 2007.
Conti is still looking at other acquisitions, and is considering the purchase of Goodyear’s engineered products unit and parts of other firms.
