Club 3633 Profile: Robert Tinson

Robert Tinson, 38
National Account Manager
Schrader Performance Sensors

Robert Tinson comes from a long line of automotive aftermarket professionals, but recently joined the tire industry three years ago when he started working for Schrader Performance Sensors.

As national account manager, it’s typical to find Tinson on the road, talking to customers or connecting with team members, but his big focus today is getting TPMS training and education out to technicians.

“The industry is adopting more young and diverse talent,” he says, adding that his favorite part of the industry is surrounding himself with forward-thinking minds and innovators.

In the future, he believes the industry will see more shifts in technology, product orders and customer retention programs from OE dealers.

Tinson says learning to live in the shoes of other Schrader educators and to speak with technicians directly gave him the confidence to succeed.

“Success is never achieved, but gained more and more every day. I think having a positive impact on others, whether it’s a customer, colleague, or friend is a great measure for success,” he says.

FUN FACT: “As a child, I had to be an ambulance driver. They flew through red lights and saved lives. Later on, I wanted to compete against Howard Stern Radio.”
