Each year the Car Care Council Women’s Board recognizes several women leaders for their contributions to the automotive service industry as part of its Women of the Year Awards. The group is now accepting nominations for the “Auto Care Woman of the Year,” “Female Shop Owner of the Year” and “Auto Care Woman of Excellence.” The deadline for entries is Sept. 1, 2016.
“The Women of the Year Awards celebrate the achievements and contributions of three extraordinary women leaders who have made significant contributions to the auto care community,” said Amy Mattinat, president of the Women’s Board.
Award recipients will be recognized in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Nov. 1 prior to the annual Women’s Board reception.
Winners of the 2015 Women of the Year Awards include:
- Tammy (Chaffee) Tecklenburg, Spectrum Brands – Global Auto Care, Auto Care Woman of the Year
- Pamela Gatto, Gatto’s Tire & Auto Service, Female Shop Owner of the Year
- Vonda Lee, Supply Line International, Auto Care Woman of Excellence

“If you know someone who has been an inspiration or has been a positive influence in the industry, honor them with a Woman of the Year nomination,” said Mattinat.
