The performance brake system manufacturer earned OE spots on the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V and the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.
The Cadiallac fitment will feature a Brembo brake system with six-piston, aluminum monobloc calipers and 14.6-inch dual-cast rotors in front and four-piston aluminum calipers and 14.4-inch one-piece rotors in the rear.
Brembo said that unlike traditional cast iron discs, dual-cast discs are made of two materials cast iron and aluminum which provides a 15%-20% reduction in weight, greater driving comfort, less corrosion and wear, and resistance to fade.
The Corvette ZR1 will be fitted with Brembo’s carbon ceramic brake rotors, with six-piston front and four-piston rear aluminum monobloc calipers with a Corvette logo; cross-drilled stainless steel radiators; semi-metallic friction materials; and cross-drilled carbon ceramic rotors (15.5-inch fronts and 15-inch rears).
