Bosch has launched a customer awareness initiative designed to provide diesel vehicle owners and technicians the information and education necessary to make the right choice when purchasing replacement injectors.
The cornerstone of Bosch’s initiative is the website ChooseTheRightInjector.com, the company said.
The site provides customers information on why injectors fail, frequently asked questions and hazards of using non-authorized remanufactured injectors, Bosch said.
“Although there are many options for selecting rebuilt/remanufactured injectors that can save you money, there are also as many risks associated with choosing an injector from a non-authorized remanufacturer. Consumers and technicians need to know the risks and understand the choices they have in order to make an informed decision regarding diesel vehicle service and performance,” said Ross Sandercock, director of diesel products for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket.
Additionally, the website shares with visitors the most common injector failure scenarios, list their symptoms and how to avoid a failure, Bosch said. The site also includes informational brochures, a Bosch vehicle part finder and a where to buy section.
