Bosch Earns Award for Mobile App

Robert Bosch LLC was given the Silver President’s Award for Catalog Excellence from the National Catalog Managers Association for its Vehicle Part Finder mobile app.

The award, presented at NCMA’s 40th anniversary conference in St. Louis, Mo., was accepted on behalf of Bosch by Michael Stoll, director of Bosch’s Marketing Data Management Team. The team developed the app and launched it in April 2012.

The app contains application information for 12 different Bosch product lines, ranging from current vehicle model year back to 1950. Products include alternators, spark plugs, wiper blades, oxygen sensors, fuel pumps, air management sensors, glow plugs, injectors, water pumps, starters, ignition coils, and battery chargers. Additional product lines are planned for future release. The app contains a host of details about most of the above-mentioned products, including color pictures.

“With our North American Part Finder mobile app, technicians and DIY customers can have access to all this information at their fingertips,” Stoll said. Users have the option to search for part information manually or by entering or scanning in a vehicle identification number. Ease of use, convenience and immediacy are the hallmarks of mobile web technology and we are pleased to be able to offer these features to all existing and potential Bosch customers.”

The Bosch Part Finder mobile app is available on both Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
