Aeolus Industrial Tyres Expands Availability in Europe

(Clacton, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) Chinese brand Aeolus is set to introduce a range of low-loader tyres in the Netherlands and across Europe.

This news represents Aeolus’ response to the ever-increasing demand for these tyres from European companies in the transport business.

The expansion of this line signifies the increasing Chinese presence in the European tyre market. Aeolus has selected Heuver Banden of Den Ham to distribute these tyres in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Denmark and France. Kirkby Tyres sells Aeolus products in the U.K.

Aeolus low-loader tyres have been specially designed for their high load capacity and are suitable for long distance transport. Heuver Banden supplies this specific type of tyre, for transporters in the special transport business, in two sizes: 215/75R17.5, HN826 (135/133J) and 235/75R17.5 HN826+ (143/141J). Both versions have a line tread and conform to all the legal requirements in this segment.

For Babcox Media’s Joe Keene, an ASE-certified technician charged with fixing up a rare Lincoln Blackwood, it means heading back to Transtar Autobody Technologies in Detroit to put the finishing touches on the Blackwood. Then, he’ll put Babcox Media HQ in the rearview mirror as he heads out on the Lincoln Highway on his way to AAPEX. One of his first stops is the Studebaker Museum in South Bend, Ind., where he hopes to bridge the connection between the automotive industry’s past and its future.
