Ten passenger cars and SUVs took part in the tests. Six of them were assessed overall as "good."

The challenging test program involved high speed fading tests, emergency braking from 100 km/h, as well as repeated emergency brakes from 100 km/h when fully laden. The editors announced that the Toyota Yaris, the best-placed car in the subcompact class, had demonstrated braking performance on the same level as a sports car. The Yaris is equipped with a complete Continental Automotive Systems brake system.

Of the six vehicles which Auto Motor und Sport assessed as "good" in the brake test, three have Continental Automotive Systems wheel brakes on the front wheels. Four are fitted with Mk 25, Mk 60 or Mk 25E series electronic brake systems. The latter provides particularly sensitive – and thus effective – intervention by the ABS and ESP systems through its particularly sensitive pressure measurement and valves with analog activation.

In the "Grossglockner Pass Descent" event, the fully laden vehicles had to drive 12 kilometres downhill in top gear under light braking and then carry out an emergency stop with hot brakes from 100 km/h. Four of the six cars assessed as "good" in this event were equipped either with wheel brakes or an electronic braking system supplied by Continental Automotive Systems.
