LeDucs Win in Off-Road Race

Curt and son Todd LeDuc are back on the winner’s podium by scoring first in Class 8000 at the Bluewater Resort & Casino Parker 425 off-road race this past weekend in Parker, Arizona with their Rockstar/Makita/Kal Gard Lubricants Ford truck shod with Toyo Open Country M/T tires.

The reigning Best in the Desert Class 8000 champions competed against some 300 entries, 10 in their class, almost making their win look easy if not for a broken drive shaft during the first lap costing the team a half hour to repair, Toyo said.

By the second lap, the LeDucs were on a charge as competitors’ trucks began to experience problems. As a result, the LeDucs had taken the lead before the end of lap two and never relinquished it.

“We won by 45 minutes over the next competitor in our class,” said Kyle LeDuc, on hand to lend support to his father and brother. “Our truck experienced no flats all weekend, making our jobs a lot easier for the race.”

“The LeDucs are off to another great start for the 2008 Best In The Desert championship season,” said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports for Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “They won last year’s Class 8000 Best In The Desert series championship for Toyo, proving their combination of drivers, tires and equipment are hard to surpass.” (Tire Review/Akron)
