Toyo Makes Key Corporate Appointments

Japan’s Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. has promoted Masaharu Yoshimoto, president and CEO of its Toyo Tire USA Corp. subsidiary, to the additional post of senior corporate officer.

The promotion is effective Apr. 1, Toyo said.

“Masaharu Yoshimoto is a 36-year veteran of Toyo with extensive experience including his current position as leader of Toyo Tire USA, our largest overseas market,” said Shozo “Carlos” Kibata, executive corporate officer of Toyo Tire & Rubber and president and CEO of Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc. “His promotion to senior corporate officer will help to further guide the Toyo brand as it continues to expand worldwide.”

In addition, the corporation promoted James Hawk to corporate officer and president and plant manager of Toyo Tire North American Manufacturing Inc., based in White Ga. The promotion makes Hawk the first non-Japanese to serve as a corporate officer. (Tire Review/Akron)

McCarthy Tire Service opens commercial wheel refreshing facility

According to the company, the facility has the ability to refinish over 1,000 wheels per day.

McCarthy Tire Service recently opened a new in-house commercial wheel refinishing facility. According to the company, the facility has the ability to refinish over 1,000 wheels per day and technicians will utilize equipment for inspection, surface preparation, pre-treatment, and automated coating techniques at the facility.
