International Tire Repair Solutions Acquires Vulcanizing Manufacturer Vulcan Vulcap

International Tire Repair Solutions Inc. (ITRS), a distributor of tire repair material, announced it has acquired Vulcan-Vulcap Industries Inc., a tire repair and retread equipment manufacturer.

Toronto, Canada- based Vulcan Vulcap specializes in curing equipment including section repair mold, ‘’C’’ Clamp, spotter, retread equipment and Vulcaflex OTR System. The company provides the tire retread and repair industry with products that help maintain equipment performance.

The acquisition fits into ITRS’ goal of providing safe service with a proven product that produces results at a competitive price, said ITRS CEO Gilles Wauthy. Wauthy said he aspires for the company to be the leader in recycling through repair by providing the retread and OTR industry with “the safest certified and government-approved equipment to our customers.”

David Dandeneault, ITRS vice president, said acquiring Vulcan Vulcap is an opportunity for the company to supply more products to the vulcanizing industry.

“The acquisition of Vulcan Vulcap will give us the ability to control the products we provide and allow us to revolutionize the vulcanizing industry with custom products and competitive pricing,” he said.
