With a growing emphasis on making more American products available for the Latin American market, the Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) announced that its Latin American and Caribbean Tyre Expo will take place June 6-8 in Panama City, Panama.

The expo, with the Atlapa Convention Center as its home base, provides exhibitors with direct access to Latin American and Caribbean tire dealers. Over 200 international tire and retread manufacturers and distributors attend the expo to connect with new buyers. The expo is the only U.S. Trade Certified event endorsed by the U.S. Department of Commerce in the region, according to TRIB.

Panama serves as a geographically strategic and economic location for the expo, where exhibitors can present their products to the Latin American and Caribbean tire markets. The country is a business and tourist destination that thousands of business professionals from the region visit due to its Colon Duty-Free Zone and the Panama Canal. It has become an international air hub making it easy for travelers to reach.

Tire demand expected to increase 25% in Latin America by 2025. With the International Trade Commission (ITC) looking to bring more business to the region, it has identified that the automotive parts and supplies sector’s target countries for business as Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Panama.
