Saleen S1 Features Conti’s ExtremeContact Sport Tires

The 2018 Saleen S1 has made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, rolling in on Conti ExtremeContact Sport tires.

Unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2018 Saleen S1 made its debut with Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires.

Described as a “dynamic, ultra-high performance street tire built for car enthusiasts,” the tires are engineered for a sturdy grip in dry and wet conditions, according to a Continental press release. They were tested by five championship-winning racecar drivers and were designed for precise handling and excellent tread life, according to Continental.

The ExtremeContact Sport comes in 71 sizes ranging from 15”-20” wheel diameters with a W and Y speed rating.

Yokohama Rubber partners with Haupt Racing Team

Yokohama Rubber said it is aiming for victories at the Nürburgring 24-Hour Race and Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) with Advan tires.

Yokohama Rubber has signed a partnership agreement with Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing’s Haupt Racing Team (HRT). As part of the Advan Challenge that seeks to maximize sales of Advan tires, Yokohama Rubber said it is aiming for victories at the Nürburgring 24-Hour Race and Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) by supplying its Advan racing tires for the Mercedes-AMG GT3 being entered in those races by HRT.
