In a joint effort with the Automotive Marketing Foundation (AMF), the Tire Industry Association will launch its Automotive Social Portal (ASP) during the first quarter of 2017.
“We are excited to partner with the Automotive Marketing Foundation to deliver this powerful social communications tool to the tire and auto service aftermarket,” said Roy Littlefield, executive vice president of TIA. “The ASP will give us a means for effective communication with consumers all across North America, as well as provide a significant benefit to all dealers.”
The cloud-based social portal allows TIA and other content providers to offer consumer educational content, national, state and regional governmental issues through the dealer network to consumers. Information will be available from a single dashboard and manufacturers, suppliers, state, regional associations and other information providers will be able to create and supply the content dealers can redistribute to their customers.
Additionally, the social portal features other levels of participation on Dealer Social Network sites, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
The ASP is free to independent dealers located in North America and is driven by software developed by Rallio.
“It gives me great satisfaction to bring the power of this new communications technology through the Automotive Social Portal to TIA, state tire associations, manufacturers and dealers throughout North America,” said Wayne Croswell, former TIA president and founding member of the AMF. “The industry has been missing a cohesive venue to allow associations, manufacturers, suppliers and sealers to educate, communicate and promote information to consumers. Furthermore, to be able to do this at no cost to TIA, associations, dealers or consumers is a game changer.”
