A former boss convinced Christopher Hayes to join the tire industry three years ago, and he hasn’t looked back.

Hayes travels around Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland servicing independent tire dealers for factory direct distributor K&W Tire.

While it took about six months to really immerse himself into the business, Hayes enjoys what he does. To him, the best part about working in the tire industry is the people and diversity.

“I like getting out and meeting different sorts of people,” Hayes shares. “My territory is ever-changing and I’m meeting people from different walks of life every day. No two visits are the same.”

Looking to the future, Hayes thinks the tire industry is going to get more competitive for independent tire dealers as car manufacturers and others fight for tire sales.  Hayes says he looks forward to meeting this challenge and is proud to work for a company that caters only to the independent tire dealer.

FUN FACT: If Hayes wasn’t doing what he currently does, he would love to work for the Boston Celtics.
