ASA, AVI Offering Training During AAPEX 2016

The Automotive Service Association (ASA) and AVI are offering two days of management and technical training during AAPEX 2016 on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas.

The ASA management training for automotive repair shop owners, managers and service advisers will cover topics such as “Maintenance Profit Master,” “Strategies for Effective Leadership,” “Targeted Marketing that Brings in Loyal, Profitable Customers” and “Preparing to Service Connected Cars – Today.”

All ASA classes are approved by the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) and participants can earn credit toward the Institute’s Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation. There is a $150 fee for ASA members or $200 fee for non-members to attend. Both fees include AAPEX registration. For more information or to register, visit aapexshow.com.

AVI’s program on Oct. 31 will include “Bosch: Advanced Diagnostic Challenge,” “Amp Clamp: Current Ramping Today’s Cars,” “Rapid Fire Diagnostics: Going Beyond the Code,” “Bosch: European Evaporative Emissions,” and “Diesel Day.” Classes on “TPMS: The System, the Myth, the Legend & Data Bussing the Brakes” and “Mastering the Module Flash” will also be offered. Giuliano Zuccato, one of six clay design modelers who crafted the original 1964 Mustang, will give a keynote at noon.

 

AVI’s program on Nov. 1 will include “Wide Band Air Fuel Ratio Sensors,” “Hot Heads 2: Advanced Cooling System Design and Diagnostics,” “Real World Diagnostics,” “Courtroom Diagnostics: Who Killed Dr. Stoichiometric?” and “Advanced Technology Vehicles: Service and Maintenance.”

 

 

The AVI registration fee also includes AAPEX registration and is $400 for two days of training. To register, visit aviondemand.com.
