Easton, Md.-based Mid-Atlantic TirePros is sponsoring its 9th Annual Arlene M. John Koats for Kids Drive to help give coats to children in need.

“We have collected over 4,000 coats over the last eight years. We appreciate the community continuing to embrace this annual event,” said Terry John, owner of Mid-Atlantic TirePros.

Mid-Atlantic TirePros began the drive in 2007 to honor John’s wife Arlene and to help children around the Talbot County area. This year, the business has expanded donations to reach children outside Talbot county.

Throughout the years, shop has worked with the Neighborhood Service Center, Operation Christmas Spirit, the Easton Volunteer Fire Department, and Easton Middle School to help donate coats.

The shop’s event partners include Kohls, WCEI/WINX, the Star-Democrat, Crackerjacks, and Pixel Print and Post, Admiral Cleaners in Easton, and SpiderWeb Connections.
