Inter City Retreading Inc., an affiliate of Inter City Tire and Auto Center Inc., has joined Continental Tire the Americas ContiLifeCycle dealership network.
Inter City Retreading will now offer Continental’s ContiTread brand of retreaded truck tires to throughout New Jersey and parts of New York.
Elizabeth, N.J.-based Inter City Tire and Auto Center Inc. has been in business for more than 35 years and operates one of the largest independent heavy duty truck repair centers in the New York Tri-State area and a multi-location commercial tire service network, Conti said.
“I believe our partnership with Continental will fulfill the clear need for reliable and high quality retreading in our market,” said Neil Erbesh, president of Inter City Retreading. “The combination of Inter City Retreading’s unrivaled craftsmanship with Continental’s portfolio of proven tread designs and rubber compounds will be an excellent match for our customers.”
After upgrading its production facility to 20,000 sq. ft. and updating equipment, Inter City Retreading has the capability to produce approximately 78,000 retreads annually.
