TRAC announced that Harold Philips, COO for Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., will serve as the association’s chairman of the board for the 2014/2015 term.
Philips was appointed as TRAC’s chairman at the June Annual General Meeting. He will be re¬sponsible for Canada’s commercial operations including the passenger and light truck, medium truck and retread business units.
“I feel that TRAC is an important industry group that can help educate consumers and end users on the importance of tires and other rubber products,” said Philips. “As new chair, I would like to see our association grow as an industry group, and through the addition of new mem¬bers, expand our ambitions and activities to further promote safety and proper sustainable use of tires and other rubber products.”
TRAC also welcomes Bernard Grégoire of Hamilton Kent Inc., Caroline Pajot of Goodyear Canada Inc. and Kirk Zavitz of National Rubber Tech¬nologies to its executive directors for the 2014/2015 term.
