Michelin Adds Size for Sprayer Tire

Expanding its Michelin Spray Bib lineup, Michelin North America will now offer a 50-inch VF sprayer tire.

The VF420/95R50 177D SprayBib will have all the qualities of the smaller 46-inch SprayBib but in a larger dimension designed for sprayers that carry heavier loads, the tiremaker said.

The tire is equipped with a D speed rating allowing for speeds up to 40 mph at a maximum load of 16,094 pounds and features a Michelin Ultraflex casing for a longer service life. Additionally the tire can carry the same load at up to 40% air pressure compare to standard technology tires, the tiremaker said.

The VF420/95R50 177D size will be available in the replacement market starting in September and can currently be ordered on the model year 2015 John Deere R4045 sprayer.
