2015 Miss Retread Contest Contenders Announced

Twenty companies have entered the inaugural North American Tire & Retread Expo’s Miss Retread Truck Tire Contest, which will take place during the three-day tradeshow.

The following companies will submit a retreaded truck tire as a contestant in the contest: Action Tire, Area Wholesale Tire, Allied Oil & Tire, Bauer Built, Brahlers Trucker’s Supply, Centre Techno Pneu, Di Maggio Tires, Ecotire Treading, Recauchutagem31 S.A.(Fedima Tyres), Flynn’s Tire, Industrias Del Neumatico S.A.U., Ironhead Rubber Technologies, Leslies Tire Service, MTC South, National Tire Solutions, Nokian Tyres, Piedmont Truck Tire, Recauchutagem31 S.A.(Fedima Tyres), Wilson County Tire & Retreading (Bob Sumerel Tire and Service Cincinnati) and Young’s Retreading.

Three companies that produce “the most beautiful retreaded truck tire” will win cash prizes. First place will take home $5,000; second place will take home $2,500; and third place will be awarded $1,000. The winners will be announced on April 16 at 3 p.m. on the show floor.

Contestants will be judged by a panel of three: David Stevens, managing director, TRIB; Frederico Schmidt, commercial manager, Vipal Rubber Corp.; and Ron Mohler, commercial development manager, Elgi Rubber Co.
