Wireless Internet: Not Just for Coffee Shops Anymore

Imagine being able to put a sign in your showroom window proclaiming: “FREE Internet Access While You Wait!”

Wireless showrooms are everywhere; business owners are quickly realizing that public access to the Internet through wireless “hotspots” is an excellent way to attract new customers.

What methods have you tried recently to gain new customers and retain current clients? Have you thought of offering free wireless Internet access for your customers? Have you considered giving them access to the Internet while they wait in your customer lounge while their vehicle is being serviced?

Gone are the days of an old VCR and some torn magazines. Your customers are more tech-savvy than you may think, and this is a service they will come back for time and time again. And, you may be surprised how simple and inexpensive it is to do, and how popular your store becomes!

You know your customers’ time is valuable. What if you could offer them an environment where they could connect to their offices while having their vehicle serviced? Many people view this downtime as an opportunity to keep up with news, e-mail and their work. Your customers could continue working and, at the same time, take care of their “personal business” – getting new tires. Having a wireless showroom helps them make the most of their waiting time and improves their experience of doing business with you.

Any location at which a customer has to “wait” is an ideal place to offer this service. Airports, hotels, coffeehouses, cafes, bookstores, laundry centers and public gathering spots are all places you’ll find “wireless showrooms.” Why not at a tire dealership? Offering this service can attract more customers, which equates to more business for you.

Look around the next time you visit a modern local coffee shop. The strategy works!
