The U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship held a markup on five different small business bills that would lesson burdens for small business owners.
Three bills aimed to ease small business ownership for veterans, one bill aimed to help better use energy efficiency practices and on bill aimed to reform the microloan process. The committee also drafted a resolution to recommend a bill to simplify tax compliance (S. 1827).
Sen. David Vitter, R-La., committee chairman, said the resolution includes provisions that will help small businesses reduce their accounting costs and better navigate federal tax compliance.
The Automotive Service Association reported that all five bills received bipartisan support in the committee.
