Fast rising raw material costs are causing a rash of tire price increases, the latest of which coming from Bridgestone Americas and Continental Tire the Americas.
Bridgestone plans to raise prices on all of its Bridgestone, Firestone, Dayton and associate brand consumer tires by as much as 6%. The June 1 increase covers OE and replacement market lines.
Continental is taking an increase of up to 6% on its passenger and light truck/SUV tires, including all Continental, General and associated brands. And CTA’s commercial truck tires will see an increase of up to 7% across all brands. Those increase also take effect on June 1.
