Epicor Payment Exchange Now Available

Epicor Software Corp. announced that the Epicor Payment Exchange credit card processing solution can now be integrated with Epicor Vision distribution management software for the automotive aftermarket. The solution also is available for users of Epicor Eagle for the Aftermarket software.

The Epicor Payment Exchange solution is a secure service that helps aftermarket parts distributors, jobbers and retailers simplify payment processing and reduce the costs associated with many third-party providers, the company said.

Epicor Payment Exchange handles each step in credit card transactions – authorization, settlement and reporting. Because it is used by thousands of merchants whose warehouses and stores are powered by Epicor business management solutions, the payment processing service enables users to benefit from significant volume discounts that often are not passed along by some other processing firms, the company states.

“We are pleased to bring the significant benefits of this payment solution to the growing number of leading aftermarket distributors pursuing aggressive growth strategies through the use of Epicor Vision software,” said Scott Thompson, vice president of automotive, analytics and content for Epicor Americas. “Many of our Epicor Eagle users have found that integration of this solution not only helps them save time and improve the customer experience, but also significantly reduces their processing fees.”

In addition, the Epicor Payment Exchange solution helps streamline back-office processes, according to the company. Businesses can view recent transactions in their own browser-based dashboards without waiting for monthly statements, and accept credit card payments – or process refunds – on a remote basis using virtual terminals or Web-connected browsers. The Epicor Payment Exchange service also can improve business reporting and payment reconciliation by helping users accurately deposit and reconcile funds.
