Big O Tires has awarded 41 scholarships through the Big O Tires Scholarship Fund after raising more than $72,000 at the annual Big O Tires convention – the most money raised in the history of the program.

“For 13 years we have had the opportunity to give back through the Big O Tires Scholarship Fund and every year it just keeps getting better,” said John Kairys, executive vice president and general manager of Big O Tires.  “We are proud to support the recipients by providing financial contributions that will assist students as they expand their educational horizons and strive to achieve their professional goals.”

Since the scholarship fund’s creation, Big O has awarded more than 240 students financial assistance totaling roughly $370,000 to pursue their education.

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must be employees (or family members) of Big O Tires or of a Big O Tires franchisee that is graduating from high school or currently enrolled in post-secondary education courses.
