Marangoni Appoints Brand Manager

(Clacton, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) Marangoni has announced the appointment of Greg Graham as brand manager.

The role will be predominantly UK based, with responsibilities across additional English speaking countries. The appointment follows Marangoni’s new distribution partnership with leading UK wholesaler, Group Tyre (UK) Ltd, and further signals the manufacturer’s intent to aggressively increase its market share of the UK car tyre market.

Greg Graham will be supporting Group Tyre (UK) Ltd, and together they will have a joint responsibility for enhancing Marangoni’s relationships in the tyre retail sector. Additionally, Greg Graham will also assume responsibility for sales development of the Marangoni brand not only in the UK, but also Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Malta, Cyprus and Eire.

Despite the large geographical area within his remit, Marangoni will ensure that the UK market is priority number 1. "The UK market is massively important for the brand," commented Global Sales and Marketing Director, Derek Carruthers. "I am delighted that Greg Graham is joining the Marangoni organisation.

The recently announced partnership with Group Tyre in September 2005 has immediately allowed Marangoni to service our retail customers more effectively, and this appointment will further enable Marangoni to support the individual Group Tyre members."

Greg Graham has worked in the tyre industry for more than 25 years and was the youngest ever NTS branch manager when appointed, aged 21. He was also area sales manager for a national wholesale company and, more recently, was employed as sales manager for a high-quality Japanese tyre manufacturer, operating in the Scottish and Northern Irish territories. Greg’s brand management skills resulted in a successful launch of that brand in Northern Ireland, developing a loyal key dealer network, which contributed to considerable sales growth of more than 45 per cent over a three-year period.
