Aftermarket Show Offers Two-Day Option

(Clacton, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) Companies that want to exhibit at the 2007 Aftermarket Show (11 – 14 January) will be allowed to limit their attendance to the two trade days, as part of a newly tailored package that is being offered by event organisers, Haymarket Exhibitions.

Aftermarket exhibitors have previously been required to attend both trade days and also the two public days that follow when attending the show, which runs alongside the massive Autosport International Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

But Haymarket reports that it is keen to give aftermarket companies more choice, and having listened carefully to the opinions of existing and potential exhibitors, the decision has been taken to offer a ‘trade days only’ package (11-12 Jan 2007) alongside the traditional ‘four-day’ package (11-14 Jan 2007).

It is hoped this new initiative will help companies maximise their exposure and add to the already impressive attendance figures that were recorded at this year’s show in January – 3,122 registered aftermarket trade visitors attended the event and more than £680 million worth of business was generated at the combined Autosport International and Aftermarket shows.

Steve Coombes, ex-Publisher of CAT, who has recently been recruited to oversee further development of the Aftermarket Show, said: “We have already stated that we want to make the Aftermarket Show an ‘exhibition must’ for businesses in the trade and this new initiative is driven by that objective.

“We have listened to the opinions of exhibitors and carefully monitored what they get out of the Aftermarket Show. And, it’s quite clear that only attending the trade days suits some more than others. With that in mind, it makes sense to tailor the packages we can offer and give the flexibility that some people are asking for.

“I’m sure exhibitors will embrace this new initiative, and the Aftermarket sector can look forward to an even more focused and profitable show in 2007.”
