ContiNetwork Expands into Ireland

(Clacton, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) Continental AG has confirmed its plans to further expand the ContiNetwork beyond the U.K. through the appointment of Advance Pitstop as the ContiNetwork Partner responsible for the Republic of Ireland.

This move facilitates ContiNetwork’s growth into Ireland and marks the second phase of increased geographical coverage – the first being the recent appointment of Modern Tyre Group in Northern Ireland.

As a new ContiNetwork Partner, Advance Pitstop is joining a nationwide network of independent truck tyre dealers that provide local, regional and national fleets with individually tailored tyre management services and rapid-response tyre breakdown assistance. Backed by Continental, the ContiNetwork gives fleet operators access to more than 200 truck tyre service locations and a fleet of 500+ mobile service vans, operating across the U.K., Northern Ireland and now Republic of Ireland.

ContiNetwork membership gives Advance Pitstop exclusive rights to provide expert service to Continental’s growing base of national and regional truck fleet customers. Advance Pitstop who have always been a strong supporter of the Continental truck tyre range, will also be using its ContiNetwork Partner status to grow its own base of local fleet customers.

Advance Pitstop has 34 branches nationwide and currently employs 270 at branches throughout Ireland. With a fleet of over 30 breakdown vehicles, Advance offers the most reliable and efficient truck tyre breakdown service available in Ireland. It also offers a dedicated fleet maintenance service to all commercial users. The level of service provided can range from regular fleet inspections to a full Tyre Management Programme including detailed reports and corrective maintenance to ensure that operators’ tyre expenditure is kept to an absolute minimum.
