AASA Changes 2009 Conference Dates

The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association has rescheduled of its second annual Vision Conference to Mar. 17-18, 2009, at the InterContinental Chicago O'Hare in Rosemont, Ill.

The conference dates were changed to avoid a scheduling conflict with the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association and to concentrate all the events into one “action-packed” day based on member feedback from the 2008 conference, said Steve Handschuh, president and COO of AASA.

The conference will include a welcome reception Mar. 17, following meetings of the AASA Board of Governors and AASA councils. Events on Mar. 18 include information given by aftermarket retailers and distributors, best practice presentations by members and panel discussions of trends and challenges affecting automotive aftermarket suppliers. Yokohama Rubber donates to Eastern Taiwan earthquake relief

Through its Yokohama Magokoro Fund, Yokohama Rubber will donate a combined ¥1 million (approx. $6,380).

Yokohama Rubber shared its deepest condolences and sympathies to the families who have lost loved ones and to all those who have been affected by the earthquake in Eastern Taiwan. In response, Yokohama Rubber and its employee-backed Yokohama Magokoro Fund said it will donate a combined ¥1 million (approx. $6,380) through the Japanese Red Cross Society to support relief efforts in the region.
