The company said the rubber portion of the valve stem may crack and permit the gradual loss of tire pressure. “Continuing to drive on under-inflated tires could damage the tire, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash,” according to Tech International.
The company will replace the valve stems with non-defenctive models free of charge, as well as any tires that have sustained structural damage as a result.
