Falken Sincera Gets OE Fitment on New Volkswagen Golf Alltrack

Falken Tires said its Sincera SN250A A/S has been selected as the original equipment tire for the 2016 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack.

“The Sincera SN250A A/S is designed to provide class-leading durability and all-season performance,” said Rick Brennan, vice president of marketing for Falken Tires. “The SN250A’s Dynamic Range Technology (DRT) will provide the all-wheel drive, Volkswagen Golf Alltrack optimum grip at a wider range of operating temperatures in dry and wet conditions.”

The Sincera SN250A A/S, available in 54 sizes, is Falken’s long lasting all-season performance tire that features 3D canyon sipe technology for enhanced ice braking and all-weather handling, and a symmetrical rib design to optimize even tread wear.

Bridgestone invests in Yoshi Mobility to expand into virtual inspection, EV charging

Yoshi is also commercializing its mobile EV charging platform to address EV fleet charging challenges.

Yoshi Mobility recently closed its $26 million Series C funding round. The round includes strategic investors General Motors Ventures and Bridgestone Americas, as well as international investors Universal Motors Agencies and Shikra Limited. Launched out of Y Combinator in 2016, the company is also backed by ExxonMobil, DN Automotive, NBA All-Star Kevin Durant, and NFL legend Joe Montana. Yoshi Mobility has raised more than $60 million to date. In addition to scaling its core business, the company said Series C funding enables it to expand three new business lines: preventative maintenance, virtual vehicle inspections and electric vehicle (EV) charging.
