YRC Makes Mini Movies Featuring Soccer Players

The Yokohama Rubber Co. is making a series of mini movies featuring players from the Chelsea Football Club.

The mini movies will feature Chelsea FC players demonstrating soccer techniques as a way of introducing various Yokohama products and technologies, the tiremaker said.

On Feb. 5, the first movie of the series is featured on YRC’s YouTube channel and Chelsea’s Facebook page. The video features Willian Borges da Silva, Chelsea midfielder and Brazilian national team member, practicing free kicks. Willian explains that simulating the free kick situation over and over again leads to success in real game situations and relates that to Yokohama’s innovative tire simulation technologies that contribute to better tire performance, the company said.

A total of eight movies will be posted on Yokohama’s YouTube channel through the remainder of the Premier League’s 2015-2016 season.

Yokohama entered into a partnership agreement with the soccer club in 2015.

GRI recently conducted programs in Sri Lanka to empower women and motivate children under its Green x Circle initiative. The company said these endeavors aimed to address the needs of the community, focusing on both women empowerment and youth motivation.

GRI recently organized a training program titled "Management of household finance under current economic conditions" at the Ingiriya Rubber Collecting Center in Sri Lanka, South Asia led by Shashika Nimali, an NLP practitioner and life coach. The company said this initiative provided women in the industry with essential skills and knowledge to effectively manage household finances. GRI's tailored training sessions equipped participants with tools for informed decision-making, ultimately fostering greater financial security and independence, the company said.
